Pulwama, February 12 (KNO) : Two army man and one militant has been killed in a fierce gunfight in Ratnipora village of Pulwama District. Two militants have managed to give forces a slip. A police official told KNO that the body of militant has been recovered from the site. "Only one body has been recovered from the site. We had credible inputs of more militants hiding in the area, they might have escaped," a source told KNO. He said that at least two militants are believed to have escaped from the gunfight site. I the gunfight three army men were injured among them two succumbed at the medical facility. "During the gunfight, two soldiers Havaldar Baljeet of 50RR and Naik Saneed of 10 Para of army were killed while injured soldier has been identified as Chanderpal of 50RR and his condition is stated to be stable at army’s 92 Base Hospital Srinagar,", officials said. Earlier encounter started after government forces including 50 RR cordoned off area on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.(KNO)
